KEEP YOUR VISION IN FRONT OF YOU
Do you know “The Secret”? I mean that book by Rhonda Byrne which talks about how powerful the law of attraction is in the universe. The secret is knowing that to achieve things you need to think about them often enough and never lose them out of sight. Our lives can get so hectic that our thought gets easily derailed. To remain focused, we need a physical reminder of our dreams and aspirations. We need a symbol to get our mind to go where we want it to be.
The Power of Visioning
You have to think about a vision as a complete description of the final destination. People and business owners need their creed, their reason for waking up in the morning. Visioning means imagining the world as you wished it would be and then connecting the dots to get there. It also means being confident in your abilities to get there and trusting the way the universe works to help you achieve your dreams.
A Vision Board
A straightforward way of keeping your vision in front of you, literally, is creating a vision board. It is a powerful tool, and it is an image of your future dreams, goals, and ideals in life. This works because we are mostly visual creatures, it what makes us tick and get to the action. Place on this board what you want to attract in your life. You can put the image of a dream house, a country you want to visit, your next car or a picture of a baby.
Be creative and get inspired. Put a picture of yourself in the center and surround it with words which encourage you to overcome your limits. You can have different vision boards for different areas of your life to avoid cluttering and chaos.
For Your Business
You can take the vision board concept into your business life. Many designers use vision boards to get inspired and to create something new. You can do the same when trying to find new ideas for revenue streams, ways to market your business or to attract more clients. A business vision board can include strategies that worked for others and which resonate with you. Another element which should be on your board is your ideal client personas. Envisioning who your clients are, what they do and how they think makes it easier to find them.
Is it Magic?
Although these ideas might sound magical or mythical, there are sound psychological reasonings behind them. Visioning makes you dream big and goes beyond your limits. We are used to having low expectations and set up imaginary boundaries which keep us confined. When we practice visioning as a habit, we become motivated to do more. Expectations and beliefs can drastically shape the outcomes. Simply put if you say you can or if you say you can’t, you are right either way. Choose wisely and look at your dream often.
